Kyrielle
Kyrielle poems originate in France. The word might have derived
from "Kyrie"...a greek chant recited in the Catholic Mass
(the only Greek words spoken in the Traditional Latin Rite), which
repeats the same line three times.
- Each Line has eight syllables.
- The last line of each stanza (each stanza containing
four lines) is the same.
- Kyrielles should contain no less than three stanzas.
- Rhyming structures include aabb and abab
and should be consistent throughout the poem.
Odd About Love
It started with just two of us
We thought we'd make the most of us
Tried to fill eachother's demands
It's Odd How We Don't Understand
Together we turned two to three
It cost nothing but it's not free
Our love it grew beyond our plans
It's Odd How We Don't Understand
We think of love as staticly
Not knowing it dynamicly
Not knowing that love could expand
It's Odd How We Don't Understand
